While at the United Nations Foundation, Alex Bandza contributed to several projects. He worked extensively on an op-ed style piece that juxtaposed the potential for developing offshore wind versus offshore oil. He researched and wrote briefs on European utility regulation to assess whether decoupling and other energy efficiency strategies could be applied to European utilities.

Alex also developed graphs on historic energy efficiency improvement trends in several OECD countries to look at long-term trends in energy use. Finally, Alex was given the opportunity to attend the National Clean Energy Summit in Las Vegas, NV on behalf of the United Nations Foundation, after which he reported on high-level sustainable energy developments from current thought leaders.

"The contacts I made at the Foundation itself were invaluable, and I look forward to running into [...] and hopefully working with them again in the future."

"Our organization gains from new perspective based on Fellow's background and area of study. Many students are able to pursue in-depth energy and climate studies and are well suited to jump into issue areas. We also believe it's extremely valuable to add to the pool of people going into the clean energy and climate policy fields."
