Graduation Date: June 2011
Degree(s): M.A. International Policy Studies; B.A. Global Economics (University of California, Santa Cruz)

Anthony, currently in the second half of his Fellowship, is the project manager for the China Climate and Energy Map. The China Climate and Energy Map represent the future of data organization and publication on energy and climate issues. It is interactive and data rich without being overwhelming and difficult to filter, something that white papers and spreadsheets often fail to do. He has also helped organize and publicize the conclusions from the International Nuclear Safety Workshop and has conducted research that supports the view that capping coal use in China is more effective restricting U.S. coal exports to China.

"There is no doubt the MAP Fellowship was instrumental in the progression of my career. I was hesitant about returning to China and was not sure of my exact niche in the complex energy world. The MAP Fellowship has essentially pushed me to continue explore energy issues with a global mindset and convinced me that I need to be building innovative solutions that go beyond just writing another white paper."

Anthony Suen

"He has advanced the project significantly, though we are glad to have him for a longer time to continue to push the project to completion of its public release."
