Dylan Sullivan worked as a member of the Midwest Clean Energy Team at NRDC's office in Chicago. There, he conducted advocacy and analysis to support organizational objectives around coal power, building codes, and utility energy efficiency. He reviewed and commented on air and water permits issued for two Ohio coal plants: one omission he found is now part of NRDC litigation. Dylan conducted advocacy with Chicagoland mayors to support "The 30% Solution," a proposal to amend the residential energy code to make it 30% more efficient. He also researched the fast-rising capital costs of new electric generation. All the while, he enjoyed a typically pleasant Chicago summer, frequently basking in the sun at Hollywood Beach.

"From day 1, I was given substantive work that was interesting and meaningful. I was invited to all office functions and treated as a full member of the Midwest clean energy team."

Dylan Sullivan

"[The Fellowship] allowed us to build needed intellectual and technical capacity at a critical time in energy advocacy in the region."
