Immediately after her 2001 Fellowship with Winrock International, Jenny worked on clean energy technologies—especially automotive fuel cells—with the Energy Department through Sentech, a Washington, D.C.-based contractor.

Two years ago, Jenny decided she wanted to make a shift to journalism, focusing on the science/environmental area. She spent a year in India, part of which she worked at a Bombay newspaper. She returned to the US to freelance and eventually began working for the Government Executive, which covers the many agencies and departments that make up the federal government.

Jenny says that writing is a great way to learn about many different topics, and she’s keeping an eye on energy for freelance projects and future jobs.

Fellowship

While at Winrock International, Jenny's primary goal was to document success stories and lessons learned from current and past projects.

She has worked on information gathering and impact assessment for African energy projects implemented by Winrock over the last five years, and research for the renewable energy financing library for the Clean Energy Group.
