While at UCS, Lauren worked on three projects: 1. A fact sheet policy comparison of the national renewable portfolio standard (RPS) and the national renewable fuel standard (RFS). 2. A renewable energy advanced technology potential characterization. 3. A review of long-term renewable energy and energy efficiency projections for UCS’s Climate Roadmap project, focusing on the building and industry sectors. Lauren’s work will be used in UCS’s advocacy work in Washington and on their website. The results of the long-term energy efficiency potential forecasts for industry and buildings will be included in an organization-wide analysis/campaign to examine UCS’s climate change solutions set. “We need as many talented and dedicated people as we can get in our field, and we believe that the MAP fellowship is a great opportunity to both get some of these people more interested in our field and to better prepare them for when they arrive.” —Jeff Deyette and Steve Clemmer |
