Megan accomplished so much during her time with BGET that it's difficult for her to even remember it all! While in the office, she collaborated with fellow volunteers on a solar hot water system and how-to manual, some solar cookers, design work for the hydropower system we installed, ordering parts for system upgrades, and writing reports about current and future systems. Outside the office, she spent much time in the field, visiting remote villages to check up on existing BGET solar energy systems and perform site surveys for future systems. She also participated in a three-week-long micro hydropower installation in a Karen village. Her varied experiences in Thailand taught her a great deal about herself and have enabled her to contribute meaningfully to people's lives. "Memories from Thailand come back to me at the most unexpected times, informing my decisions, filling my conversations with fascinating stories. I now have life-long friends in a very distant place. I am more fearless, more apt to try new things, to reach for a seemingly impossible goal." Megan Kerins
"Megan had the essential qualifications to contribute to the work and teammate. The team members learned and improved their communication and other skills from working with her. Megan helped create the dynamic work environment. Therefore, the overall team performance has increased." Salinee Tavaranan, Project Director
