Graduation Date: June 2009 Meg focused on energy issues throughout her time at Stanford and is particularly interested in energy policy, building energy use, and energy issues in the developing world. She spent the summer of 2008 with the California Alternative Energy and Advanced Transportation Financing Authority, where she wrote comments on the AB32 Draft Scoping Plan and a white paper on financing options for renewable-fueled district heating and cooling projects. She also spent a semester studying sustainable development in Costa Rica. While there she analyzed the impacts of cooking fuel use on a small island in the Gulf of Nicoya. In 2008, she interned for Stanford Utilities, where she worked on various projects designed to reduce Stanford's energy use. In her spare time, Meg enjoys snowboarding in Tahoe and playing for the Stanford Women's Rugby team. Meg is very excited to work with the NRDC climate and energy teams on federal energy policy in Washington DC.
