
Jane Woodward is a founding shareholder of MAP and its President and Chief Executive Officer. She is principally responsible for the organization of the partnership offerings and the management of the firm. Prior to founding MAP, she worked as an exploration geologist with ARCO Exploration Company and later as a petroleum engineering consultant. Ms. Woodward served as the managing editor of the 1984 Annual Guidebook of the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists entitled “Hydrocarbon Source Rocks of the Greater Rocky Mountain Region.” Since 1990, she has been a Consulting Associate Professor at Stanford University where she teaches classes on energy and environment in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Ms. Woodward is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), and the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. She holds a BA in Geology from the University of California at Santa Barbara. Additionally, she has an MS in Engineering and Petroleum Geology, and an MBA, both from Stanford University. In 1988, Ms. Woodward was a co-founder of Community Impact, a Bay Area public service volunteer organization now called Hands On Bay Area. Ms. Woodward serves on the Management Board of Stanford Graduate School of Business, the Advisory Board of the new Stanford Center for Energy Efficiency, and the Advisory Board of SunEdison, the leading developer of commercial photovoltaic installations in the US. She also sits on the Advisory Board of the Family Office Exchange and serves as a Trustee Associate of the AAPG Foundation.
