Yaqing summarized China's various efforts related to current geological CO2 sequestration based on the information obtained from publications and interviews. A few of the current and planned CO2-Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) projects and some experimental results are listed in his paper. China has many projects in CO2 flooding in the oilfields, as well as a many research studies in laboratories. There is little experience of CO2 sequestration in saline aquifers of China; however, the estimated storage potential is huge.

His information has already been presented at an international workshop in China and his report will be posted on NRDC’s website after it is finalized.
